How do I set up the Discord Bot in my server?

Detailed account of configuring the Discord bot on your server.

Acquiring the Discord Bot

  1. Purchase the Discord Bot here.

  2. Invite the Discord Bot to your Discord server by clicking here.

  3. Navigate to your Quant Data profile by clicking here.

  4. Enter your Discord server's ID into the "Discord Server ID" textbox and click the "Activate Discord Server" button. You should then see a notification at the bottom of your screen that says: "Successfully activated the specified Discord server!"

Configuring Data Feeds on Discord

Our Discord Bot currently supports the following feeds:

  • Dark Pool Prints

  • Golden Sweeps

  • Halts

  • News

  • Quant Alerts

  • Reddit

  • Reg SHO

  • Twitter

  • Unusual Options Order Flow

All feeds are configured using the same command, /feeds

For example, to configure the Unusual Options feed, you can do the following:

  1. Create a new channel in your Discord server named #uoa

  2. Run the following bot command inside the new channel you just created:

The bot will then display the feed manager menu:

The embed displays the state of your feeds for your entire server. Each feed displays the channels it will send to.

The buttons below the embed are the feeds you can add to the current channel you are in. Feeds that are not active for the channel will show as a green Add button, while feeds that are active for the channel will show as a red Remove button. Pressing the button will toggle the respective feed between being active and inactive.

To add the Unusual Options feed to this channel, it's as simple as clicking the Add button:

The button will turn red (and display Remove) to confirm that the feed is active. Notice that the feed listings have also updated: our #uoa channel is now in the channels list for the Unusual Options feed.
