What are the Quant Alerts?

The Quant Data Alert system is an algorithmically driven system that uses proprietary logic to contrive the best possible alerts. Through the analysis of millions of data points per day, we're able to efficaciously generate different types of actionable equity options alerts for both short-term and long-term traders.

Let's break down the alert types and what they mean:

Whale Alert: This alert type searches thousands of orders per second to find the best opening trades that meet our minimum notional value requirement. These alerts and the order flow that ensues have the potential to move the market. The expiration date of the alerted contract must be reviewed as it plays a role in determining what term to trade the alert over.

Lightning Alert: This alert type looks at a series of proprietary requirements on every optionable ticker over a short window to find actionable opportunities. Typically, these alerts are great for scalps and day trading, given the short window.

Turbo Alert: Similar to lightning alerts, this alert type also looks at a series of proprietary requirements on every optionable ticker over a short window. Turbo alerts differ as they have an increased allotted time as well as distinct stringent criteria. Typically, these alerts are great for scalps and day trades, similar to lightning alerts.

Bargain Alert: This alert type is looking for cheap, short-dated unusual contracts on every optionable ticker over a short window to find actionable and affordable opportunities. These alerts can be great for scalps, day-trades, and swings - it's essential to use the expiration date and current market conditions as a gauge in determining the length of holding.

Momentum Alert: This alert type looks at a series of proprietary requirements on every optionable ticker over a midterm window to find actionable opportunities. Typically, these alerts are better for the day trades. However, it presents opportunities for all trading types dependent on the current market conditions at the time of the alert.

Ditto Alert: This alert type looks at trades that repetitively meet a series of proprietary requirements over a predetermined short window. Typically, these alerts perform well in the short term and are great for scalp and day traders, but they also provide opportunities for swing traders.

Things to consider:

  1. These alerts are constantly being improved and are actionable, although they are not perfect.

  2. Always consider the current market conditions at the time of the alert.

  3. Always conduct your fundamental and technical analysis.

  4. Confluence is critical (One contract having multiple alerts dispatched on it).

  5. Pay attention to the volume and order flow at the time of the alert.
